Orientation Dates-Orientation for day pageant.
August 15th, 2008 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Contestants in day pageant will have
an opportunity to practice on stage.
Orientation for evening pageant. August 15th, 2008 3 p.m. until .....We will practice onstage modeling and production number. General Workshop
Wednesday July 9nd, 2008 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
General pageant information and demonstrations/review of modeling
pattern. Recommended for Young Miss thru PreTeen. Little Miss may
attend if parents wish.
Advanced Workshop
Wednesday July 16th, 2008
5 p.m. to 6 :30 p.m. Personal Introductions and Modeling.General
pageant information, how to write and deliver a personal introduction
and all phases of modeling.(technique, eye contact, posture)
6:30 p.m to 8 p.m. Will begin interview/platform work with Miss contestants. Choosing a platform and interview tips.
Strongly recommended for Junior Teen and up.
Interview Workshop
Thursday July 17th, 2008 5 p.m to 8 p.m
Extensive workshop that will include; choosing a platform, opening statement and all phases of interview. Strongly recommended for all Miss contestants.
Interview will be at least 30% of your score in the Shenandoah County
Fair Pageant and Virginia Association of Fairs Pageant. The information
we will provide is important! We encourage Junior Teens and Teens to
observe, as it will give them an opportunity to see how to prepare for
the Miss cateogory. However, space will be limited, so you must notify
us in advance if you wish to attend.
